REPOSSESSION

ARE YOU FACING REPOSSESSION? DO YOU FEEL THERE IS NO WAY OUT?

Repossessions in the UK are unfortunately at a record level! as many people continue to fall behind on their mortgage and other secured debts.

There are many reasons but for most of our clients, it's mainly due to the cost of living crisis, redundancy, a relationship breakdown or a sudden illness preventing them from being able to work.

If you are repossessed it will affect you in the following ways:

  • Your credit rating will be severely damaged stopping you from obtaining credit or indeed a mortgage in the future.

  • You and your family will have to move out and find alternative accommodation, losing the familiarity and security of the home you have been living in.

  • In some cases, the Mortgage Lender will even sell the property for less than your outstanding mortgage amount, and you can be left owing thousands, even though you don’t actually live in the property anymore!

With another rate rise looming, it is in your best interest to do whatever is necessary to stop repossession before it becomes too late.

Eviction Notice Image.jpg

'If you agree to sell your property to Elite Property Buyers, you can obtain a stay of repossession from the court. If necessary, we can even accompany you and attend the court hearing and will produce evidence that the sale of your property has already been agreed with us.'

The repossession process is as follows:

  • You'll receive a summons from the court informing you of when your hearing is to take place.

  • There will then be a hearing where the judge will listen to both you and your lender and will look at all the information presented before deciding on an outcome which is usually a possession order.

  • You will then receive a bailiffs warrant advising when you and your family are to be evicted from your home.

But it doesn't have to be this way !

At Elite Property Buyers we have multiple solutions to help sellers avoid repossession.

If you agree to sell your property to Elite Property Buyers, you can obtain a stay of repossession from the court. If necessary, we can even accompany you and attend the court hearing and will produce evidence that the sale of your property has already been agreed with us. The sale can then be completed within 28 days. This is regardless of whether your property has equity in it or not.

Don't leave it too long to deal with mortgage problems. The further you get through the repossession process, the higher the risk of losing your home.
